What to Expect When Booking Your Wedding with Me
Thank you for considering me to be part of your special day! Below is a detailed outline of the process so you know exactly what to expect when working with me.
Communication
The best way to reach me for wedding bookings is via email. This allows me to keep a clear written record of our conversations and easily refer back to important details.
Trial
Most brides choose to book a trial, though it’s not required. I do highly recommend it, as finalizing your look in advance helps ensure a smooth, stress-free wedding day. A trial also gives you the opportunity to see how your hair and makeup will photograph and feel in person.
Booking: When you’re ready, I’ll send you a link to schedule your trial. A trial form will be included.
Details needed to complete the trial form:
Address where services will be provided (on-location only; travel fees apply if more than 15 miles away)
Backup trial dates (Trials MUST be flexible. As a full-time freelancer, I have to take any work that I am receiving, and anything on the weekend gives other brides an option to book me for their wedding.)
Estimated number of hair/makeup services needed for your wedding
Hair and makeup inspiration (You can upload photos or copy and paste a link to your inspo, like Google Docs or Pinterest)
During your trial, I’ll record all products used and take reference photos. Trials typically last 2–4 hours for both hair and makeup, or about half that for one service. We may try a couple of looks so you can compare options.
Retainer
To secure your wedding date, a non-refundable deposit is required.
Retainer should be placed at least 6 months in advance (before or after your trial).
Once received, your date will be reserved exclusively for you.
If additional artists are needed, I will hire my team at this time.
Contract
A contract is required to finalize your booking. Once you’ve decided to move forward, I’ll send a link to complete your reservation, submit your deposit, and review the contract. Details can be updated later if needed.
Information needed for the contract:
Wedding date
Ceremony time
Time the bride’s hair and makeup must be completed
Time bridal party services must be completed
Photographer/videographer arrival time (if capturing “getting ready” photos)
Service location address
Names and services for each person receiving hair/makeup
Payment method and payer details
Travel & Parking
Travel is complimentary within 30 miles of South Philadelphia.
Beyond 30 miles, the IRS standard mileage rate applies for each working artist.
Parking fees must also be covered.
Accommodation
If your start time is very early and your location is more than 1.5 hours away, accommodations will be required for each artist the night before. You may either arrange the hotel or have it added to your invoice.
Timeline & Reminders
3 Months Before: You’ll receive an automated reminder to update your wedding details. Once completed, I’ll begin preparing your schedule.
6 Weeks Before: You’ll receive your schedule, invoice for the remaining balance, and final details. Once confirmed, please share the schedule with your bridal party. (A hair and makeup guide will also be included, or you can follow this link.)
1 Day Before: I’ll reach out by email or text for your room number if you’re getting ready at a hotel or venue.
Your schedule will look something like this:
