Hair and Makeup Prep
We want you to have the best possible experience and results. Please review the following guidelines carefully before your appointment.
General
Please bring reference photos of your desired hair and/or makeup look (unless you have already submitted the consultation form).
Makeup
Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. A light moisturizer without SPF is allowed, as SPF may cause flashback in photos.
Please bring and apply your own lipstick.
Schedule facials at least 1–2 weeks before your appointment to allow time for your skin to heal.
Schedule eyebrow shaping at least 3-5 days before your appointment.
Avoid acne spot treatments for 1 week prior, as dehydrated blemishes are harder to conceal. (For scabs, Vaseline or Aquaphor is recommended instead.)
If you have peach fuzz or dry skin, consider dermaplaning 1–2 weeks prior to help create a smoother base for makeup.
If you plan to have a lash lift, schedule it after makeup services, as overly curled lashes can make blending false lashes difficult.
Hair
Arrive with clean, completely dry hair (especially important for thick or long hair). Damp hair will not hold curls properly and may cause delays.
Brush and detangle your hair before the appointment.
Shampoo and blow-dry your hair straight with minimal to no product the day before, unless you are wearing your natural curls, in which case please detangle and condition beforehand.
Do not curl or straighten your hair with heat tools before the appointment, as previously ironed hair does not hold curl well.
Do not arrive with damp hair unless you booked a blowout (note: blowouts are not included with styling services).
Haircutting and coloring should be done no later than 1 week prior.
Bring any hair accessories you’d like to use.
If bringing extensions, ensure they are clean, dry, and detangled the day before. Please book extension installation in advance, as it is an add-on service requiring extra time.
Wear a top that is easy to remove without disturbing your hair.
Steam dresses or clothing before hair services—steam may cause frizz or ruin the finished style.
How You Can Help
Provide access to a nearby outlet for styling tools and lighting.
Have a clean, cleared table available for setting up products and tools (we do not provide one).
Natural lighting is always the best lighting for makeup. It's very helpful if we can set up close to a window, but not necessary. We carry a makeup light.
For makeup, a bar stool or high chair is helpful (though not required).
For hairstyling, a regular chair with a low back in front of a mirror is ideal (though not required).
Thank you so much for your cooperation—we truly appreciate it!
