Inspired French Girl Hairstyle

Straight hair girls can diffuse their hair in 15 minutes too...

As you guys know, I am not French. But... I do love their approach to hair and makeup. I was eager to find a way to get that messy undone but done hairstyle (as they would call it Coiffé Décoiffé) and I think I found it! Very much inspired by Jeanne Damas and Violette_fr

My natural hair is SUPER straight (swipe left to see my natural texture) and most of my clients assume that I have a soft wave perm. NOPE! It takes about 10-15 minutes, wet to finish. This will most likely work for people with straight to wavy hair and fine to medium hair. You could also make this hairstyle last for up to a few days. If you have an oily scalp like I do, just use some dry shampoo for those in between days.

  • Detangle your hair before showering ( @thewetbrush @lomabeauty.us Nourishing shampoo + conditioner)

  • Towel dry and scrunch

  • Wrap the towel around your head

  • This is where I usually do my makeup or get dressed

  • Take your hair out

  • If you have bangs, dry them first (@ibizahairtools #B3)

  • Make sure your hair is damp, if not re-wet it

  • If you want to give your hair more shape or for it to last longer, use a sea salt spray or texturizing spray (@hairstorystudio undressed)

  • The most important step: Scrunch your hair until you see the shape you like

  • Set your heat level, and fan speed (@dysonhair Dyson Supersonic™ with the diffuser attachment)

  • Dry ONLY your ends first to lock in the shape

  • Once your ends are 50% dry, diffuse it up to the scalp

  • Dry it 90-100% (especially if you have straight hair) or you leave to air dry

  • Set it with a cool shot

  • Pinch your roots for a little extra lift

  • Viola!
