Sanitation Guideline
My Actions in Response to COVID-19
As a hairstylist/makeup artist, our job is to touch and be a close proximity to our clients. This is a time of uncertainty and I want to make sure I am taking safety measures to protect myself and my clients due to COVID-19. I will be following the guidelines provided by the CDC and Board of Cosmetology. These precautions will apply once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
If you are booked or thinking of booking with me. This is what I will require of you:
General
ALL clients will have to complete a consent form 24-48 hours before their service.
ALL clients will have their temperature taken before receiving their service.
ALL clients must wash their hands before receiving any service.
A mask MUST be worn at all times, until asked to be removed during makeup application.
NO eating or drinking in the area where services are being provided (must be 6ft away).
Anyone who is not in the chair receiving a service must be at least 6ft away from the set up area.
If you need to sneeze or cough, please try not to in the set up area (droplets can land anywhere).
I have the right to refuse any client who I believe to be infectious and contagious.
Makeup
ALL clients are required to purchase a set of makeup brushes (makeup brushes cannot be sterilized) or you can provide your own.
If you plan on providing your own brushes please reference to the brushes that you can purchase.
You should provide your own lipstick for sanitary purposes and to also touch up throughout the day.
You MUST arrive with a clean face, then you can follow up with a moisturizer that DOES NOT contain any sunscreen.
Hair
You MUST arrive with dry, clean, brushed hair.
Not required, but an option:
You can provide hand sanitizer, masks, and gloves.
You can provide your own hair and makeup products.
Read more if you would like to know what precautions I am taking:
A mask will be worn at all times.
A face shield will be worn during makeup application.
Gloves can be worn, but it’s optional. If gloves are used, a new pair will be worn for each person.
Hand sanitizer will be used between each person.
Airbrush application will be used for foundation, bronzer, blush and highlight (it's the most sanitary).
Any tweezers, eyelash curlers, and sharpeners that are used will cleaned 70% alcohol and sterilized with a UVC light between each client.
Any combs and clips being used will be disinfected using Clippercide.
Before I leave, I will dispose all trash and spray everything down with 70% alcohol before I pack it back up into my kit. So therefore this will increase set up and wrap up time by 15 minutes, 30 minutes altogether.
